Furturistic Scene Poster Design

i was finding it hard to come up with a poster for my groups's idea for the futuristic scene as i am not 1 that is in to futuristic settings and style. But i was looking around on the internet and in magazines and then i came across something with circles and i thought i could use this design to my advantage and make it in to something and this is what i produced. Im still not sure about the lens flare so some comments would be great to see what i could develop this poster into.

Motion Graphics

These are just some designers work of motion graphic (typography) I saw on the internet which caught my eye.
I would like to do work like this - I am looking more into this design of graphic design.
I just like how everything connects and the words have a meaning to this type of design.
I am treating this blog as a online design diary in a way to show the things I am into using video and images off the internet, it is easier then putting it all into a folder.

From Rhi's presentation I do think we have similar interests from the motion graphics of typography, to the graphic design of typography so we shall have to sit down and have a little chat about what we know possibly =].

50 motion graphic tips

Just scouting through the internet as media students do =] i came across a website to do with motion graphic - I thought it may be helpful to some in the class because i know Haych has an interest in it because we were talking about it on Tuesday.
Im doing some research into it but I am beginning to have a bigger interest in it the more & more I research into.
It is something I may consider doing for my FMP and in Uni.

I also liked this advert when it first came out - I think the music works really well with what is going on in the advert itself - the music works to how the TV's actually move too. And how random is it that a pile of TV screens are just coming out of nowhere.
The TV's symbolise a game called Tetris - Don't know if any of you guys will know or remember that game, but its basically to
Create horizontal lines using the falling blocks. When you make a line, it clears from the screen. The game is over when the blocks pile up and reach the top of the screen.

I do like the style and the technique used within this advert and I think its clever the way they used the TV's to combine together to make the car.

Orange Top Up =]

I absolutely love this little video of these shapes and objects. It just makes me smile =]
I would hopefully like to do something like this for my animation using characters of my own with the chosen theme i end up doing.

Here are some of my designs using typography

Could you possibly leave some comments of what u think?
or
What i could possible do to improve the designs?

(pweeze dont be too harsh!!!)

Wackamole Evaluation 3rd Nov 09

[I know i am a little late about writing up my evaluation for the wacka mole. But better later than never!]

I did find creating the game difficult because i have never got on with director very well from the beginning and i feel i am a bit rusty atm (i may be the only 1, i hope not)
Even though i did find it difficult i understood the concept of the game and how it would benefit some people if they wanted to use it for their FMP. By using different characters instead of the ninjas & using a different background (like we were told to do - customise) you can instantly see the change within the game by creating it to your own.
Overall, though i did enjoy the final piece of the game i ended up using the raving rabbids off the Wii which i think are just crazy characters in themselves =]. i think if i look over the game and the codes/scripts i might understand it a little more in depth and advance it.

[Crediting Mr Craig Bates about the Easy, Medium & Hard Levels
for helping me so I included them in my customised WackaRabbid]

Some of the ideas i was thinking of doing...

7 SINS

I wanted to do something completely different from everyone else in my class because alot of them are into game design and i am far from that design industry i dont have much of an interest so...
i was thinking about the film Seven with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman classic in my eyes. This film is a psychological thriller about 2 detectives on the trail of a vicious serial killer who chooses his victims according to the 7 deadly sins. This film got me thinking How are these 7 sins dicated in the media?
or How people portray them? Do they know? Do they care? How many people use these sins to their advantage?
I like the fact this film does getting you thinking and keeps you thinking until you have found out.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

This was another idea i was kinda participating in.... Dont you ever ask youself - When should you talk? - Is it the right time? - Would you affend someone with what you say?
OR should you just keep quiet and be unseen and NEVER be heard?
Is that right?
What is our country, no even world coming to? I think it rising to this silence where people just wont say what they really do think about certain things such as politics, the war in Iraq, fashion, crime etc.
But there are some people that do go out of their and they do say but does it even get heard? And even if you was heard would your words make that much of a difference to the situation?
I wanted to look at the aspects of people speaking out and how it affects the media in some way. Again with a psychological aspect of doing so, to get people thinking - Should i said out NOW?
Would you?

STEREOTYPES

This topic is huge. I know Dom did it last year but I think the topic is very popular and you can go on about anything literally, I think he did it on people and music I'm not too sure correct me if I'm wrong. I wanted to look at the way people are 'different'? What are they? Who are they? What does 'different' mean?
You have got your usual stereotypes Goths (dresses all in black - that is how it portrayed/ looks) Emos (same dresses all in black & acts depressed & want to die. Again this is how it presented to people) Chavs (causes trouble & swearing & wearing brand names) Doctors are stereotypes too where they wear the long white coat and the stethoscope around the neck for example.
This would probably follow in the way Dom did his F.M.P but this was a topic I have a very strong passion for and includes alot of thing s you can talk about.

LOVE, HATE & JEALOUSY

This topic was another big passion of mine, yes Raj can say its self indulge but tbh i dont care becuase these emotions are part of everyone's life and have a part in something they do or even say to day to day life.
What are they?
How do you feel these emotions?
Why?
These were the 3 main questions i asked myself when drawing a bubble diagram and thinking of what to do for my F.M.P. I hear people sometimes "OMG i love that colour!" or "I hate that with a passion", do you think those people actually know what they are saying about those objects?
I doubt it.
But it wasnt these things that triggered this idea, it was something that happened in my life that made me think of this idea and pushed me to look into it more I lost something, someone over these emotions so, How does love, hate or jealous push you to the extreme of losing something??
With this idea again I want to involve psychological twist and get people thinking about their own emotions about things? Darren Brown is a very good example I watched him on channel 4 the other week and he had Simon Pegg (off Hot Fuzz and other films) on there and basically tricked him into wanted a BMX bike by using techniques when asking questions or talking to him. And this is what i would like to protray in this idea if i go forward with it. It's a good way of seeing things from a different view and seeing how people react. The Shock Factor in a way.
Emotions
Love and Hate
What do they do to you?
How do they make you feel?
Can they change your mind?
What do u REALLY feel?
